Joa Bolendas is a contemporary Swiss visionary and down to earth mystic in the mold of Hildegard of Bingen. The wife of a pastor and mother of three children, she began having visions in the 1950s. Her first visions were concerned with the unity of the churches and the state of the world. In response, Joa undertook great prayer battles for the future of humanity and the earth. Although word of her visions reached many, she continued to live simply, visiting neighborhood churches to pray and receiving visions whose range and depth continued to expand. At the age of 88 she passed on into the greater life in the hearafter.
